Volunteer at Assisted Living

To volunteer at assisted living, apply to a role the community posted, complete their approval process, and visit under staff supervision. InterGen Volunteer is built for senior living — including assisted living, retirement homes, and senior homes.

Assisted living is not a clinic shift

Residents may need help with daily life from staff. Volunteers add conversation, activity support, and consistency. You do not lift residents, give medication, or provide personal care. If someone needs assistance, you get a staff member.

The listings-focused page covers assisted living volunteer opportunities. This page is how you actually get in the door.

Steps that work

Create a free account. Browse live opportunities. Apply to assisted living and other senior living communities that fit your schedule. Bring ID to check-in. Stay in designated areas. Log hours in InterGen Volunteer after the community confirms the visit.

Local, without a fake map

Browse opportunities by community on InterGen Volunteer. We do not pretend every assisted living building nearby has already posted. When a partner community lists a role, you can apply. Communities that want volunteers can use the senior living platform to post.

Ready to take the next step?

InterGen Volunteer is free for volunteers. Senior living communities post the opportunities; you apply and track hours.
